A Bed Worth Staying In
I am a sleeper. The kind of person who’s in bed by 10 p.m. and doesn’t resurface until 7 a.m. the next day — willingly. I also genuinely enjoy my bed. Evening TV? I’d rather watch it from under the covers than from the couch.
Good sheets matter. A comforter that actually covers the entire bed (even when I’m wrapped up like a burrito) matters. And the right pillow makes all the difference. I thought I had it figured out… until I added a foam mattress topper.
When good sleep gets better
I didn’t think I needed a topper on a brand-new memory foam mattress. Turns out, I was wrong. It took an already comfortable bed and pushed it firmly into why would I ever leave this place territory. If you’re looking for me, that’s where I’ll be.
Styling versus reality
The good news: you don’t need an overcomplicated setup to sleep well. A few thoughtful upgrades go a long way. The even better news: you can separate what actually improves sleep from what simply styles a bedroom. I’ll be honest — the decorative pillows and duvet covers aren’t part of my nightly routine. They exist for aesthetics. The essentials are what make the difference.

Options worth considering
Pottery Barn has a few decorative white bedding options with navy trim that are similar in feel — and we do love options. If you’re looking for that classic, tailored look without overthinking it, they’re a good place to start.
And if anyone knows the secret to making a bed look as effortlessly fluffy as theirs, please feel free to share. I’m convinced there’s a professional fluffing technique involved… or at least a level of commitment I haven’t quite reached yet.
