My Everyday Makeup, More or Less

My everyday makeup stays fairly consistent, with a few product swaps depending on the day. Meetings call for something more polished; work-from-home days that include a lunchtime gym run… less so. You get it.

Starting with the base

A smooth finish always starts underneath. Primers are non-negotiable for me, especially with oily skin, and they make all the difference in how long everything lasts. I keep a face primer and an eye primer in rotation and rarely skip either. Good texture, comfortable wear, and products that stay put matter more to me than anything overly complicated.

Keeping eyes simple

I always start with eyeshadow first, just in case there’s fallout to clean up later. For everyday makeup, I keep it quick and unfussy. Cream shadows are my go-to when I’m not doing something dramatic — easy, forgiving, and polished without trying too hard. One swipe, quick blend with a brush, done.

Coverage, depending on the day

For foundation, it depends on where I’m headed. Office days get fuller coverage; lighter days get a tinted sunscreen and I call it good. Either way, setting powder is essential for me. Oily skin requires commitment. A light hand, then a setting spray to lock everything in — and yes, I prefer the travel size because it fits better in my hand and is always ready to go.

Blush and glow, on instinct

Blush is chosen entirely based on mood and whatever I grab first… sometimes cream, sometimes powder. Both have their place. I tend to layer lightly and re-set with another spritz so everything stays exactly where I put it.

Brows, lashes, gloss

Brows and lashes are the two steps I never change. I like definition without drama — no spider legs, no stiffness. Waterproof mascara is key for holding a curl on very straight lashes, and it saves me from needing a lash lift.

Gloss is always last. Something comfortable, shiny, and easy to reapply. Oils are great, just not for prolonged sun exposure — consider this your friendly reminder.
